Current Situation: Fire is burning in a mix of grass, brush, oak and pine trees Firefighters are working in extreme conditions; high heat, low humidity, with the potential for erratic winds. Firefighters are aggressively utilizing resources to construct containment lines, extinguish hotspots near the containment lines & defend structures. The Evacuation Order has been cancelled. The American Red Cross has officially closed the Evacuation Shelter at Eagle Peak Middle School. Red Cross representatives have advised that it can be re-opened, should a need exist.
