Sanhedrin Fire Information
UPPERLAKE, Calif. – This morning the Sanhedrin fire remains 80 percent contained and approximately 25 acres.
Firefighting resources started to be released today as the fire moves towards full containment and mop-up activity.
Smoke from the fire may still be visible for the next few days along Highway 101 and to communities on the west side of the forest.
The fire, reported Friday night around 7:30 p.m., is burning on private land within the Mendocino National Forest south of Little Signal Peak and east of the Sanhedrin Wilderness on the Upper Lake Ranger District. The cause is under investigation.
